Easy Recipes for New Moms

Please help us welcome back Kate, our guest blogger, toddler mom, passionate cook, and blogger at Nap Time Kitchen! Follow her on instagram for her newest recipes.

As you all may remember, I am Kate, a toddler mom with a passionate for cooking healthy and easy meals for moms looking to eat well when they have their hands full of babies! Last month, I shared one of my favorite recipes for new Moms. Peanut Butter Energy Balls (aka Booby Balls!) are great as a one handed snack, energy booster, and can help with lactation.

Today I am sharing an absolute staple in our home for breakfast. It is filling and my kids love it too! Hope you enjoy.

NTK Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Smoothie

YOU WILL NEED:

  • ½ c oats
  • 1 big spoonful of plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 c almond milk (or any milk you prefer)
  • ¼ c raisins
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 tbs chia seeds (optional)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ice

TO MAKE:

  1. Blend in your blender (a strong blender is needed to grind up the raisins; I use my vitamix). Add water or extra almond milk to get the consistency you desire. I like it thick!

**optional: add scoop of almond butter, leave out the Greek yogurt for a #dairyfree option. We also add 1 scoop of vanilla powder from time to time.
