Affirmations for Labor and Delivery

A popular way we support our birth clients is through verbal affirmations during labor and delivery. An affirmation is a simple phrase that resonates with you, motivates you, and keeps you centered.

Here are some suggestions:

  1. I can do hard things
  2. I am brave
  3. The baby is coming
  4. My body knows what to do
  5. Women have birthed babies for centuries
  6. I will hold my baby soon
  7. I need you to help me relax
  8. I don’t know what to do to feel better
  9. I soften, I open, I release
  10. I’m a stone cold bitch
  11. F*ck, F*ck, F*ck
  12. Today is my baby’s birthday
  13. Breathe
  14. I will see my baby soon
  15. Every contraction is one step closer
  16. Fear is a liar
  17. Open, Open, Open
