Customized Massage Therapy Sessions 

Whether you are looking for a relaxing or therapeutic session, our licensed massage therapist will work with you to ensure that you received exactly what you need.

Massage therapy is a wonderful way to relax your body, rejuvenate your mind, and ease chronic tension.  Our massage therapist is licensed by the state of North Carolina as well as fully insured by the American Bodywork and Massage Professional to ensure not only a top notch massage, but a professional experience whether it is in your home or our office.  

Our goal is to make each massage customized to your particular needs.  Because of this, our therapist will work with you to build a treatment plan that encompasses our skills and your needs.  We offer 30, 60, 90, 120 minute massage to best fit your needs and schedule.  Massage can be conducted in your home, or our office located at Restoring Balance Integrative Health in Durham at 15/501 and 40, whatever is most convenient for you. Furthermore, we offer gift certificates for that person in your life who deserves a massage.

For in home massages, if you are outside of a 20 mile radius from our office, there may be an additional fee. Also, please fill out your intake form prior to your appointment. We look forward to working with you!

Your customized massage can including any of the following modalities:

Swedish Massage: Long, medium pressure strokes will be used to relax the body, quiet the mind and aid in increasing circulation throughout the body.

Myofascial/Deep Tissue Massage: Deeper, more focused work is done to relieve chronic tension and help restore the body to its optimal health potential. 

Prenatal Massage: Pregnancy specific discomforts are addressed and relieved while patient lays on her side, best enjoyed during any trimester due to our specific training. 

Labor Stimulation Massage:  A useful, natural way to help begin the process of labor.  Acupressure points, essential oils, and external application of castor oil is used in a medium to firm pressure massage.  Only recommended for those past 40 weeks with doctor/midwife's permission.

Postpartum Massage: During pregnancy and childbirth, the bones and muscles adapt to the additional stress placed upon them.  This massage works to move them back into their pre-pregnancy position.  This technique is best done within one week of delivery.  

Breast Massage for Lactation: Start with a 30 minute postpartum massage to easy post-birth soreness, but then focus will be given to breast sore from engorgement, clogged ducts, and mastitis. Each session includes a dry brush, and instruction for self-massage.

Cesarean Birth Scar Massage: Based on your comfort level, our skilled massage therapist can work with you to not only touch and acknowledge your scar, but also reduce adhesions and decrease pain in our abdominal area. 

Reflexology: Pressure is applied to the reflex points on the hands and feet to stimulate various organs. 

Thai Reflexology: A stimulating massage to the lower legs and feet, with specific focus to reflex points on the feet using specific Thai massage techniques. 

Hot Stone Massage: The deep heat of the stones melts away chronic tension and allows the muscles to more deeply relax. (only available in office)

Sports Massage: Stretching and deeper work to alleviate aches and pains for the athlete. 


Add on Services:

Aromatherapy: The use of essential provide a therapeutic and relaxing effect.  You have the choice between three scents: lavender, lime, and eucalyptus. Not seeing your scent?  Feel free to bring one in and the therapist will incorporate it into your session.  

Dry Brushing: A wonderful add on to any massage therapy session, a dry brush provides lymphatic support, helps reduce toxins in your body, and is a great way to exfoliate your body (10 extra minutes)

Kinesiology Taping: Kinesiology taping provides an extra level of support as muscles recover, while still allowing for a full range of motion. (Additional time varies)


Individual and packages massages are available online. Our therapist can also accept cash, credit cards, and check the day of the massage.
